In the user settings state, pressing any button will trigger a response from the red LED, blinking a number of times corresponding to the selected value option for that setting. For example, if the card input type is set to numeric, short pressing button 1 will cause the red LED to blink twice indicating the numeric input is active.
Card Input Selection
The remote offers three different built-in options for inputting a card value for profiles that accept this type of input. Each option has its advantages, but the choice ultimately comes down to the performer’s personal preference.
Option | Setting | Default |
---|---|---|
1 | Matrix | |
2 | Numeric | |
3 | Stack |
- Matrix - The matrix input style takes advatage of the 10 button layout of the remote. You can review the button mapping information here.
- Numeric - The input process is simple. A card value is entered using 2 or 3 numeric digits, with the last digit always representing the suit (1-4) and the first two digits indicating the card’s value (1-13), where Ace is 1 and King is 13. The specific suit numbers are determined by the configured card order, either CHaSeD or SHoCkeD. For example, if CHaSeD is selected, the 6 of Diamonds would be entered as 64, and the Jack of Spades as 113.
- Stack - The numeric input value ranges from 1 to 52, corresponding to the position of a specific card in the configured stack. The chosen stack is selected and configured in the user settings which can be found below.
